Didn't know in which thread to post this.
But atleast it's in the right area..

Still doing my best to get me one particular moose but no luck yet. :|
A couple of weeks ago I managed to sneak in under 20 meters away from him and had full broadside for about 2 minutes. But at that time we weren't allowed to shoot any bulls
Now that he's allowed he's always one step ahead of me...
It takes quite some skill to sneak up on a suspicous moose. But it's also quite the challenge.

Here are a few pics from today.
I didn't see $hite. Or yes I did but that was also the closest I got

Well that's a pretty crappy photo BT.
And what's with the 'no bulls' rule? Any reasoning for that?

no shit, yes shit!
I had you turdlovers in mind when I took the pic
About the no bulls bullshit  that's a long story..
You can say that the peeps in charge of our hunting organisation reserved a couple of bulls (like tags) secretly for other teams instead of sharing em with all of us like they're suposed to. Filthy business which will lead to an interesting meeting which I will attend of course.
The first week we started in October I had 2 bulls directly under my stand. Optimal conditions but we weren't allowed at the time

Moose hunt took a drastic turn the other day.
Our neighours shot a bull that dropped 50m in on our turf.
That means it belongs to us. Still have one calf to shoot but I doubt I can convince the other guys to come with me.
Hope to see the big one next year. Although I'm sure I will run into him a lot now that he's safe  That's hunting eh.

Interesting how the hunting rules are in Sweden. So, if someone shoots an animal, and it ends up in a different jurisdiction it belongs to that particular jurisdiction? :? :?: Later.

Yep. that's how it works.
Allthough it's up to the one who has hunting rights on the ground where it fell to decide if the animal is donated back or kept. We kept it as we don't get along too well with our neighbours..
Besides they were hunting way too close to our border.
It took the shooter 3 shots to bring it down. The first was fired about 10m from the border..

Some pretty wacky rules.
Sounds like something the UN would come up with.
This is your land, and THAT belongs to them.

I don't see anything whacky about it.
If a Canadian would shoot at a moose and it decides to drop in the U.S.
Do you think you legally can simply cross the border to retrieve it? I think not.
If you can then that's whacky if anything.

Sorry BT. I thought you were talking about restricted hunting jurisdictions, not country borders. ;)
I guess the thing is, you better make sure the animal drops where you shot it. 8-)
