Ok, so this is during operation Night Shift. You're a sniper along with yer spotter Campo. You start with a suppressed M40 with night vision scope & an MP7. Along the way I ditched the MP7 for something with a little more stopping power ... a G3 with a TAC light and HOLO sight. If you follow the game prompts, you're supposed to run away from the enemies (PLR). Well, I didn't do that after the 5th or 6th attempt and was able to snag the G3. Attachment:

This here is the M40 ... Attachment:

Incredible screenies man. Just look at that box there to the right. I can read the friggin' barcode sticker Oh, I figure Campo is your teammate? I don't think he's too comfortable with you aiming at his head. It's moment like this you wish gunnery sergeant Hartman was around

Nice looking game play...wow! So you figured out how to take screenies. It almost makes one want to buy new vid cards jus' to be able to play it. The only problem I have with games like that are the complicated 'key' movements, that always gets me disgruntled. Poor Campo, good thing ya got a steady finger, or he might be wall meat. Later. Too many infractions (depending on the skill level) and you'll be fragged. Gunny is always watching. Brian wrote: The only problem I have with games like that are the complicated 'key' movements, Not to worry man. The key commands are very simple and configurable in the options menu. But it is a very high end game.

That reminds me of a game I played a looong time ago. Think it was Project I.G.I or the like. Getting familiar with the controls I decided to go through the tutorials. First visit to the target range I accidently brutally shot one of my drill instructor's head off. Oh man how I got barked at by the other. plenty "flowery" language there That was classic. Too bad I can't remember the name of it.

I used to play 'Delta Force 2", it was an older game by Novalogic, it can be played on a low end PC easily enough and it was at times quite challenging. The controls were simple-arrow keys and mouse, now that's my kinda game...lol. Another one I still haven't tried yet and can also be played on low end PCs is 'Marine SharpShooter" by Groove Media. I also dig the 'Heroes of Might & Magic" series 3-5, don't know abou VI, but will probably give it a try sometime. Peace. Brian T.

Not to worry. Campo is wearing a flak jacket. He may be a little bruised, but he's ok.

In the Kaffarov mission you get to play a Russian GRU operative called 'Dima'. After doing a HALO jump, you need to grab some gear from a weapons drop-pod. This thing is an AN-94 I think ... Attachment:

You got full auto or 2 rnd burst. Too bad the game doesn't take into account the increased RPM in burst mode. And this is some kinda shotgun, but it looks more like an AK to me ... Attachment:

Anyway, both weapons have a combat scope, TAC light and laser sight. Looks real purdy, but what good does a TAC light and laser do in the daylight??

Wow, that's going back a few years. How old did you say you are?? Some of the old DOS games were very cool. Yeah, the graphics were crappy (16 colour EGA/VGA), but they were great fun
