You can never spend too much time on the target range.
I took my beloved 6,5x55, a camera and shot some today :)

The gunsmith called this morning and said he was done working on the rings. So I drove over there to check it out. He did an outstanding job. :)
My rifle has been handed over to another craftsman who's gonna shorten and thread the barrel for a silencer. (A-tech TMM4)
Handed over some papers to the authorities and now all I can do is wait.
Knowing how long these bureaucratic matters have taken in the past I'm estimating it's gonna take atleast 1-1,5 months before I see my rifle again

I coulda use one of them suppressors on my Norinco (ChiCom AK). Those 5.56mm rounds have a real nasty crack to'em. Image
'tween me and my buddy with his Mini-14, we'd go thru a couple hundred rnds on a Saturday afternoon. Couldn't hear nothin' fer hours. :?

Expecting see some pics when ye get yer baby back BT . 8-)
Refresh my memory. Is that the Husqvarna?

Nope it's my latest Tikka.
I don't own a Husqie rifle no more. It was a good rifle but can't really compare to Tikka :)
But when it comes to chainsaws there nothing like a Husqvarna ;)

Yeah, the ones with the nice heated handles... When I worked in Slave Lake Alberta in a loggin' camp we used the Husqies all the time. The heated handles were nice. That was over twenty years ago. Hard to believe... :) Peace.

Today I found a surpressor license in my mail box. So I'll be off to pick it up soon.
The benefit of buying yerself presents it's hard to get dissapointed
Now I just hope the gunsmith has done a good job on the threading of the barrel.
